Happy Easter from the Hot Rod Reverend

Here in Southern California the spring blossoms are out, and Easter is here!

Across most of the United States and in many parts of the world, this time of year is known as a season of renewal, fresh starts, and a rebirth of life as the flowers bloom and trees show their blossoms. While most any time of year is a good time to take the old Ford out for a spin, I especially enjoy this season when the weather is still brisk but the scenery is turning green. The 1955 Fairlane has already enjoyed a few trips to the office, an afternoon with my daughter's new boyfriend, and a custom touch to the trunk.

Of course, Sunday, March 31 is the observance of the Christian holiday commonly known as Easter. Let me encourage you to attend a church service where the gospel of Jesus Christ will be preached and His resurrection will be celebrated. Enjoy some time with family and friends, especially if you have children or grandchildren. But let us all remember the scripture from I Corinthians 15.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures...

This weekend our church is presenting an Easter musical on four separate occasions. You can watch the first recording at the link below. Consider Christ and the significance of this historic event that proved His deity and separated Bible-believing Christianity out from all other religions in the world.
